Usually in order to deal with taunters I use healer-dispeller (Melendor, Sabina) combined with Malosi and/or Mist, so that works well for me against BK and Krampus but is completely futile against QoH. The problem with me is that I rarely use snipers in general and prefer to use 3-hitters so I had hard time killing QoH’s minion.

Although, with Malosi, I can negate the later 2. I don’t see her often, but I’d prefer dealing with her on the defense rather than Krampus or Black Knight. Yes, but a sniper can easily take out the minion… or Gobbler, or cGormek for that matter. Really game? Just why would you even do that? Obviously it is a buff but the game doesn’t want to call it a buff and don’t even want to call it by any name whatsoever, not even an effect or a stack or passive ability or passive skill or anything, and even wants to HIDE it from the hero pop-up info window. I have used Mist to fight Baldur before and she could prevent Baldur from having “brawler” buff and “direct mana reduction immunity” even though Baldur was having boosted health because those two are treated as positive effects, therefore as buffs so Mist could prevent those.īut this taunt, received from QoH’s minion, is surely a positive effect, but is not treated as such (and I don’t know what it is either).
#War of empires the mist how to
So the game doesn’t recognize the taunt that QoH’s minion gives her as a buff nor an effect but just a… “something” I don’t even know what it is or how to even call it.

It’s weird because taunt is a positive/beneficial effect and a positive effect that is beneficial to its bearer is obviously a buff so taunt is a buff because that’s what a buff is: a positive/beneficial effect. They do not directly disrupt their host, instead they keep applying the status ailment each turn. In the case of QoH’s minion, the taunt is direct one, not via status.įiends of Elizabeth and Hannah on the other hand, give status ailment, as proven by the ailment icon that appear in the list. Just like how heal and mana cut can be done directly or via status, taunt can be done directly or via status. This is like Playing Card minion, this minion do not give taunt status, the minion itself is who taunt the opponent, once the minion die, opponenst are no longer taunted, that is why even dispel don’t work. Once the minion is killed, they stopped healing. Note that even though the minion heal each turn, they are not Heal over Time status. There are many minion effects, there are minion that can give ailment, there are minion that can cut mana, there are minion that can heal. I think this is a bug from a logical and reasonable perspective and it should be fixed accordingly.Īs you can see in the 1st pic, taunt DID NOT appear in the buff list at all.īecause the taunt was done by a minion, not by buff like in Krampus/BK’s buff.

Does Garnet’s or Grazul’s ailment-protection buff prevents the fiends from giving your team mana generation reduction or attack reduction? If you have Garnet or Grazul, you will definitely know that the answer is a categorical YES! Can you see the similarity in here? Because ailment-protection buff can prevent fiends from giving you ailments then Mist’s new-buff-immunity debuff should prevent minions from giving their owners new buffs, right? As you can see in the 1st pic, taunt DID NOT appear in the buff list at all. To substantiate my reasoning, consider when Garnet or Grazul gives your team protection from ailments (or debuffs), then Elizabeth or Hannah fires off and gives your team fiends. So Mist should block QoH from receiving taunt (a new buff) from her minion right? It does not specify whether these ‘new buffs’ come from a hero’s special skill or from a minion, just ‘new buffs’ in general. « the target is immune to new buffs for 3 turns ». Ok let’s take a look at Mist’s skill description in the 3rd pic. On the 1st pic, it showed that taunt did not appear in QoH’s buff list after she had been hit by Mist, so I assumed her minion could not give taunt to her.īut in the 2nd pic, it showed that she still had taunt and Lianna was protected by her, even though taunt DID NOT appear in her buff list!?
